I ordered the 1/2 inch Baltic birch circle/round to allow me to move an electrical box so it was centered in the dining room. The builder was about 12 inches off-center, and it was bugging me and I settled for this solution and it worked very well. I even added a ceiling medallion in the middle of the circle to give it a little more design. Very good purchase.

Plywood is uniform thickness with core free of voids and surface free of blemishes.
